1. Consultation and Estimate
Free
consultation to evaluate and discuss your project. A detailed written estimate
will then faxed, e-mailed, or delivered to you.
2.
Scheduling
After the acceptance of proposal
is signed and returned, we will schedule a start date that is most convenient
for you.
3.
Color Samples
We will provide you with our color sample fan deck which
contains 1800 colors to choose from. If you are not able to find a color you like
in the fan deck, we can have virtually any color matched for you.
4.
Pressure Washing
We will pressure wash all exterior siding and trim surfaces
to be coated. We also remove all mildew and mildew spores with tsp or bleach solution.
Option: We can also pressure wash walkways, driveways, patios, retaining walls,
brick etc. upon request.
5.
Preparation
Complete extensive preparation includes: scraping all loose
and peeling paint, feather sanding all scraped and other needed areas with quality
orbital sanders that will not damage or gauge wood surfaces. We remove and fill
all un-needed hardware, hooks, and nails. We will also feather sand some bad edges
painted over from previous paint jobs for cosmetic purposes. Option: We can feather
sand all bad edges (from previous paint jobs) and use a premium flexible sand
able filler compound to remedy and greatly cosmetically improve most or all imperfections.
This option begins to get a bit into restoration work without sanding and removing
all paint to bare wood surfaces. Since preparation is the most important element
in the permanent coating performance, we typically spend the most time here.
6.
Re-Nailing & RottenWood Replacement
During the consultation or during
the scraping and sanding process we may find loose or rotten boards. We will re-nail
all loose boards and replace all rotten or badly damaged boards. It is very important
to have a sound solid substrate for proper product adhesion and performance.
7.
Masking & Covering
We carefully mask and cover all unprotected areas
including, windows, fixtures, roofs, decks, shrubs, walkways, brick and nearby
cars etc.
8.
Extreme Performance Bonding Primer Application
We will apply one full
coat of ExTREME PERFORMANCE bonding primer on all siding and trim surfaces where
Extreme Performance Coating is to be installed. This special bonding agent features
small particle technology for maximum substrate penetration and adhesion. It performs
like glue or two sided tape, forming an un-seperateable bond to Extreme Performance
Coating.
9.
Extreme Seal-Sealant
We seal all cracks and gaps in siding and trim, in/around
all window frames and door jambs, sunken nail holes, and other areas as needed.
10. Extreme
Performance Coating Installation
We will the install a complete generous
coat of ExTREME PERFORMANCE COATING. It is applied at of approx. 24 mils thick
and will dry at 10-12 mils thick. About 10 times the thickness of premium quality
regular paint. EPC provides a maintenance free, weatherproof barrier that will
bridge cracks up to an 1/8 inch thick. It has a rich, soft satin finish that is
extremly durable, flexable and breathable. The Permanent exterior coating will
be applied evenly and professionally.
12.
Clean-up
We clean up at the end of each work day and at completion of
the entire project. We remove and dispose of all debris from your home or job
location leaving the yard as tidy or tidier than it was before we arrived.
13.
Inspection
We will inspect the entire project and touch up as needed.
Then we will ask you, the homeowner, to inspect the job with us. We want to make
sure you are completely satisfied. We will also supply you with labeled touch
up paint in each color.
