1. Cleaning the wood: Surfaces must be cleaned of anything that may impede the refinishing process. This includes:
• The aged top layer of the wood. Removing the top layer of the wood will also remove any graying of the wood caused by ultra violet radiation.
• Any embedded mildew stains and spores, dirt or debris.
• Any residual finish or sealers that may impede the wood's ability to absorb new protective coatings.

2. Re-nailing: We sink all risen nails and re-nail all loose boards as needed.
3. Sanding: If sanding is needed we would do it on this step. Most of the time sanding is not needed especially on siding and fences. Decks usually do not need complete sanding unless the wood is pitted from decay.
4. Staining: This involves returning your deck to its natural color. For this we use penetrating, pigmented, oil-based products. Pigmented, oil-based products also have the added ability to preserve your deck and to protect it from the effects of the sun's ultraviolet rays.
5. Waterproofing and Sealing: Continuous cycles of wet and dry cause wood to swell and shrink repeatedly. This leads to cracking, warping, splitting, and checking. A timely coat of waterproofing sealer can retard this process indefinitely. Again, for this we use the top-rated industrial products.
